Builders' Boulevard

This post will be a repeat from the Yahoo! group. Below, please add any links to content you've uploaded for builders and sim creators to use with creations for the new town. Please also include a few screenshots so we can see the patterns. Cool note: Uploading screenshots directly from your Sims 3 screenshots folder automatically resizes them on this site! Isn't that cool?!

An explanation, if you haven't seen the Yahoo! post:

For our next 'hood, I'd like to offer our builders some custom patterns to work with. The theme: "Summer of Love." Minus the inappropriate stuff for Sims and younger participants. lol. Think hippies, flower power, peace signs, and communal living.

If you'd like to have some patterns included, please apply them to objects and then put all of the objects on a lot and upload them together (so we don't have 10 uploads from the same creator). On the forum post (the one I'm about to create on the new Builders Boulevard forums at www.buildersboulevard.com), please link your asset and provide pics of the objects (aka patterns) inside.

According to some of our expert pattern creators, like Twitches, this should work ( I think, let me know if I got anything wrong, please. :)).

In the meantime...this is a Builders' Boulevard-only tidbit of knowledge. Don't want to release the theme on the forums until next week. So please keep chat about the theme limited to this Yahoo! group and the new Builders' Boulevard site. If you want to publicize your cool patterns, though, just identify them in your build as '60s, flower power, etc. That way hopefully more will check them out, too.

Also, (Celithralia, I hope this is OK), Celi might be looking for some talented custom creators on her sim site. http://www.daedalsims.com/. This would be another great avenue for sharing your great work! Celithralia, if you'd like to advertise this creator's challenge on your site, we'd love to be included there as an opportunity for your creators.

Sim creators...look for a special assignment for you coming soon as well!

I downloaded a bunch of GROOVY Photoshop brushes and will try to get some patterns made with them.  When do you need these by?

I've been meaning to find an excuse to start making patterns This is the best excuse ever!

I took some downtime out earlier and created a few 60s/Retro patterns.. you know-green and yellow (never before '63 worn together- same with purple and pink) - and who did not have an avocado kitchen? - In real-life retrospect - I would just as soon forget that summer of love.. lol

I would love to have any patterns that might work for clothes by Friday, if possible. Other patterns for builds should be done by Monday.

Hi Twitches, Took a quick peek at her work. I would like to feature our members' content, but if we need more, maybe someone who is a member there can post her a note or something and ask if we can use them.

Daenelia, The "Friday" is only if you have patterns you want to be included for clothing. People won't actually start building until next Tuesday/Wednesday. Addict
