Hello,

I am trying to get the starter tutorial up that I promised, but I'm having some launcher issues. Does anyone have a trick for when their launcher repeatedly stops uploading and says "not responding" when you click on it?

I have been able to get one pic through at a time, because even if it says not responding, the first one uploaded seems to make it to the Exchange. But I have a lot of shots left (as I was planning to make this a three-part series tutorial) and I don't have the patience to enter and exit the launcher 40 more times to write my stories. I am about 9 pics away from finishing the first (and biggest) tutorial and I have some pics uploaded already for the later stories, but this is starting to take way more time than I had budgeted.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions,

Addict

When that happens I restart my computer. It usually works but I can't make any promises.

I might try again. I did it once, but it's worth another shot!

I had that problem before also, during the B&B challenge, not sure what fixed it but I restarted my computer and "cleaned house" on my upload stuff, deleting a few things.  Also, my file was big, like 4mb or something and it didn't want to upload.  I'm not sure if that set off the corruption or not but I do remember going back and changing the names of some of the stuff and retaking screeshots and then uploading them again and it finally worked that way.  The game may have corrupted your files somehow or you may have large files.  I hope you get it working soon!

Kit10,

Your post got me thinking...it HAS been awhile since I cleaned that launcher. Evidenced by the fact that some fo my screenshots were in the 200s. rofl. So...after cleaning, all seems to be working well again!

Fingers crossed.

I have had problems with the launcher also.  The few times rebooting didn't work seemed to be during "peak" hours.  It maybe as simple as the EA servers are overworked atm.

It happens for me during 'rush hour' times - which it is now in CA where maxis - and the big exchange of the sky- are located.
