This idea just popped in to my head last night. I was thinking it would be cool to do neighborhoods with homes based on holidays from all over the world. I first thought of mixing the holidays, but then I thought that I would love to see single themed neighborhoods. Christmas town, Easter town, etc.

I think it would be cool to see an entire neighborhood full of everyone's interpretation of the holiday expressed in their house.

What do y'all think of this?

This would be fun to do around the holidays hopefully no one would get super touchy about religion etc etc, I say we do a Halloween neighborhood the week of halloween!

That would be loads of fun. Rob.

I think the touchiness about holidays could be overcome by allowing people to design and decorate their homes based on how they celebrate the holiday.

Example: Winter Holiday could be designed with Christmas in mind or Winter Solstice, etc. Spring Holiday could be designed with Easter in mind or Ostara or something else.

Many of us celebrate something on or near the same dates.. they don't have to be the same thing. In fact, that would really make the neighborhoods even livelier.

I think it would be really cool, and I think it would be neat to learn about other countries holidays, like only the US does Thanksgiving, and other countries have different Independence Days, for instance we are 4th of July, but France is the 14th of July and called Bastille Day, which happens to be one of my cat's birthday.  Anyway, just a thought.  I like to learn about other cultures too.
