Okay, this is just plain frustrating me: I've been trying to place fish on community lots I build, and I can't find them!!! I also want to put them in residential lots, similiar to goth mansion (an accent to my over-water lots)

HELP!

TID, I think you have to do this through live mode. Essentially, you need to have a Sim (preferably Angler - I think), catch several fish of the same kind (maybe ten?), and then they can move to a new pond and use the "stock with" option to add fish to the new pond.

As you can imagine, it's no easy process, but it will certainly help a particular sim grind their fishing skill!

If you use custom content I believe you can get a buyable fish spawn off MTS. Otherwise as Robb said, fish lots :)

You need ten of the kind you want to stock the lake with. If you want a jumping fish spawner, then get the mods at MTS.. they have the spawners for seeds, butterflies, etc. and they really add a lot... to a lot.

TInteriorDesign...

On ModTheSims, in the Sims 3 downloads area, under miscellaneous- there are 'buyable' seed, meteor, metal, gem, butterfly, beetle and fish spawners- from common to the rarest. These do not alter gameplay except to make it easier to stock ponds, to find the items etc... just drop 1 or 2 of the ones you want in the pond - and your pond has fish! - same goes with the other 'spawners'. These are, I believe, actually the spawners used by Maxis in the game...

Makes it now safe to delete the old graveyard and scientific facility!
