For the ones using awesomemod, you can now set the angle by a number and you can also add new angles without deleting old roof partitions. No more slider fiddling about mess.

"roofslopeangle x"

"roofslopeangle x new"

I have gotten used to deleting and stepping back, but this will be so helpful when trying to make sure the roofs overlap in a good way.

I hope this is a helpful tip. :)

That sounds really cool. Who all here uses Awesomemod? Do you have any problems with it? Mods scare me a little bit...so any helpful info would be appreciated. :)

Cool! I didn't know about that and I have awesomemod.  I usually don't have any problems with it, but they tend to do a lot of updates, so you have to keep replacing it everytime it "expires."

I'm not using any core mods, not even slider hacks, as I had a problem after the update, and sometimes get crashes during gameplay.  I never got AwesomeMod working in my game due to conflicts.  But I'm fine without all the extra bells and whistles.  And I already have enough stuff to keep up with on the updates side.  I so have to clean up my game.  I have so much installed....

The thing to remember when it comes to awesomemod is that it is WIP (work in progress).

That means that the guy developing it is not done yet, he is constantly adding features. It’s not a finished mod. So when downloading and installing it you become a test subject. As soon as someone reports a bug he is VERY quick at fixing it, so to use this mod properly you need to update it very often (I usually do it before each time I open and play my game unless I will only be building). Also remember it is NOT compatible with other core mods.

The reason he put the expire date in the mod is because people weren’t updating their mods and kept reporting old issues that he already killed off in newer versions.

What’s fantastic about this Roof Slope Angle is that not only can you set the number and not use the slider (that way roofs you add later can be set at perfect angle), but also that you can set the angle to a LOWER angle than the lowest EA setting, making almost totally flat roofs possible! Looks great!

Remember your math? So a full circle is 360 degrees, a right angle is 90 degree, like an L. So you will be wanting to set your angles between 1 and 89 degrees (default EA angle is 45 degrees).

PS. I can say that when playing my familys the awesomemod has a storymode setting that is fantastic and will override the EA storymode. I feel like I am playing the game the way EA intended but never managed to do. I only play one household per save, but for those who want to play several household or even play the old fashion TS2 style this mod makes that possible in a great way. The mod also takes care of several EA bugs they havent fixed yet.

That's a cool new addition by Pes.

I think I'll carry on without it though as it seemed to really slow my game down when I used it.

But others find it fine so I guess it's different for everyone.
