Welcome to Sanshi Suimei,

the new epic neighborhood by Builders' Boulevard.

The more I work with organizing this project, the bigger I think it is. So I thought of breaking it down to 3 phases

Phase I - Custom Content and pattern creation

It is clear that there are some items that will be needed for the project which are not provided by the store or the game. A sticky is up for requests for custom content, hopefully some BB members will be able to produce them. The CC needs to be tested and approved by members before usage. Anyone feel they want to take part in the testing and approval of the CC?

Custom Content

Patterns

Phase II - Households and families

After the needed clothes, hairs etc. are available it is time to create the families and households that will be inhabiting the neighborhood. There is a large range of different families, to suit everybodies taste, either you are looking to do something extravagant or more regular sims.

List of households/families - sign up here!

Phase III - Building

After having the patterns and custom content needed, and the families that will inhabit the lots, it is finally time to build Of course, community lots can be worked on earlier, since they are not awaiting any families.

List of lots - sign up here!

Sim Creation

Take a look at the list of households and sign up for the one you want to create.

Want to read up on Japanese culture and families? Here are a few links, the web is full though

Cuteness in Japanese Culture

Japanese People

Japanese Street Fashion

The Japanese Family

The Japanese Family Structure

Contemporary Japanese Society

Pictures

Japanese Surnames

Rules:

- Give your family Japanese names when no names have been stated in the story

- Give them a Japanese look, if you find this hard don't worry, just do your best

-When creating a named sim, make them as alike as the original as you can, both on looks and traits. Named sims will be marked like this

Tips:

- Find inspiration on the web, search for pictures to use as base for your sims

- Take a look at related links and "Inspirations" posted in the list

- Get into character, think like the sims you are creating ;)

Have fun while creating your sims, that is the most important thing!

Building

Chek out the list of lots and sign up for what you want to build. There are 3 types of lots to build:

- C for community lots

- R for residential

- RH for rabbit holes, these may sometimes also be incorporated to a community lot

I've added links to some of the lots for inspiration, and that is what they are, only inspirational you still get to build however you like in the given style For more inspiration about Japan, take a look at my private gallery from my trip there in 2006. There are plenty of buildings, art, and some interior pictures. Of course, there are tons of pictures on the web too.

Residential lots

Each residential lot has a family, check out the list of households, maybe you would like to both build your lot and the family that is going to live in it. When the families and the stories of the families have been created I will add direct links, check out if your lot already has a finished family, then you are free to get started

Collaborative lots

There are some lots that should be built in collaboration with other lots, those are marked like this and state which lot number you need to collaborate with. Get together with a friend and get started on building.

Styles

I'vetried to divide the lots into a range of different styles, look under the "Extra" column if you are looking for a particular style. Here arethe used styles

- Traditional

- Modern

- Ultra modern

- Fantasy/fairy

you go to the household list and press "easy edit" then you write your name in the "claimed by" column on the household you want. Done

repeat for the lot list

let me know if it doesn't work out for you and I will help out.

cheers

I claim the house number 9! (Music Girl1233)

There are still details on what sort of people will be living there, plus I can just keep the toddler's room neutral (since I don't know if its a girl or a boy!). If you could just give me an estimate budget, than that would be good!

By the way, you can't download any cc from the exchange. I've tried and quite a few people have complained to me about my cc pattern not working (my awesome ninjas - can I use them in the house as well?). I suggest posting it up on a different site (the cc and the lots and sims) and post a link to it in the forums!

MusicGirl,

thank you for the clarification about CC. You are free to use patterns that you've created in the build of course.

If you'd like to share the patterns with all of us, why not post a link in the patterns thread.

Yeh.. At the moment, I can't get the version on the exchange to work, so I've just submitted one on TSR, but I have to wait for it to be accepted.

Just wanted to check... Is this okay for the outside of a farming house?

I know its not finished, but I want to know if the roofing and the painting of the walls is okay

I think the house looks very good

I'm working on making CC atm so I'm not really ready to create a family, otherwise I would take it. Don't you want to create them?

cheers

Music Girl,

Hmmm, I thought I replied to this already, maybe my computer had a brain fart or something.  Any way, for uploading to the exchange, I've heard sometimes patterns don't work, but you can get around that by uploading the pattern on an object.

I use MediaFire to upload all my custom contents that I don't upload to MTS.  Also, my blog, the Rejected, is a shared blog where I invite other creators to come share their work, especially rejected submissions to other sites.  So if you're looking for a home to share your creations, check out my signature.
