I just wanted to share some screenies from the château I'm working on for the project, I'm really pleased with how it has turned out in the exterior and I'm now working in decorating. WA is really nice for this theme I think. So what do you think so far?

Here is what I used as inspiration too

I'm so glad you guys like it, thanks for all the encouragement, it is huge yes, so it is taking a lot of time, but I'm really enjoying it.

Now that I look at the picture of the hall with the stairs I feel a bit unsure about the choice of fence, what do you guys think?

I think the fence is a bit massive. If you have WA insttalled maybe you can recolor it to match with the wall colors

That is looking gorgeous, Tota! I agree with the fence bit though. Maybe you can CAS it to blend it in more.

wow this looks very good ! I suggest to use a wooden fence instead of the stone one. btw recoloring fences (not all) works also when you don't have WA but you need the new update 1.7+

Fantastic interpretation of the original. Can I ask a wanna-be-newbie-builder question? What needs to be done to get the front stairway like that? I have done a T-stairway using CFE in one build where the stairs had a platform halfway between two floors. Is this doorway infact just one floor up above gound level? Is it as simple as that?

Thank you for all the encouraging words. I'll look for a new fence...

Minraed,

I used CFE for the entrance stairs on the outside, I always find CFE to be a bit tricky. The entrance door is however a floor up from the ground level, but i still think you need to use the CFE to get the stairways that way. Although this was done before WA, dunno if the expansion provides an easier way to accomplish this.

Thanks Tota, that is exactly how I did the indoor split level T stairs so this will be no problem.

This looks amazing Tota! I will definatly be using this home. It looks beautiful so far.

I would go for a higher fence, that isn't stone. It just adds TOO much- IMO of course.

Oh that is looking so good!  Very elegant and majestic. ( I have one I am working on and when I first saw your picture, I thought it was the same one ( no!!!) but when I looked closer it was different...they just have similar rooflines I think. )

Your finished house is going to be a huge hit...and I will be the first in line to rec it. :D
