Hi everyone! I would like to announce a new website feature I am introducing called "Lot of the Month." It is a new section which will basically feature great lots selected by the BB community. I've always thought that our site should be a good resource to go to for people seeking quality builds. Weeding through the exchange can be quite a chore and I know we miss out on many good builds since not everyone includes a cover picture and not everyone tries to showcase their builds on the forums. This is how it will work. You may submit one of your own lots or you may nominate a lot you have downloaded and enjoyed playing in. The only requirement is that it has to have been created the same month as the feature. It's ok if it is off by a few days, but for general purposes, we want to keep features current. You can submit up until the last day of the month. On the 1st of every month, a new poll will be created to allow BB members to vote for which lot deserves the title. Through our expert building eyes, we will be looking to make sure the lot is playable and has great design. Remember, our goal is to provide quality builds to those seeking good lots to play in. As a thank you for creating a quality lot, each month's winner will be gifted a store prize worth 100 sim points of their choosing. RalphaelNinja has generously donated the sim points he won at the simposium for this cause. For more details about this feature and how to submit, please visit the Lot of the Month link up in the navigation. There is currently a placeholder winner for October up to show as an example of how the lot will be featured. Once a November winner has been selected, that lot will be taken down. I know there is only a week left in this month, so you have until the end of the month for submissions. Please note that there may still be some kinks to work out in regards to how the process will work. I am hoping we can figure that out as we go. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to post them here. P.S. - I am seeking a volunteer to play test winning lots. If you are interested in this position, please PM me.

To submit, just go to Lot of the Month and click on the "November Submissions" album. From there, you can "Add Photos" to bring up a page that'll let you upload photos. Once uploaded, it will let you title and caption them.

This sounds very cool! My suggestion would be that we could have a few broad categrizations, people have different tastes so it would be good, my suggestions would be -Best Victorian, Colonial etc. -Best Modern/Contemporary -Most Creative (Ralphael lots would fall here) - Lot of the Month (The best of everything)

I agree with Robodl's idea... we should also have a category for starter homes or small/medium size lots we found amazing. Not all simmers go for big lots.
- we can feature 3 lots but only 1 Lot of the Month winner (the best for everything)

I think categories sound like a good idea if we get many submissions. We'll see how many submissions we get this month and go from there.

Hmmm... My lots aren't generally big or stunning so categories would be a nice addition, providing there is enough competitors. Very cool idea though Anjubee..

Ohhh, we have our first submission!!! Very nice, Valen. But for clarification purposes, can you put your name and the lot name as the title of each picture? That way when people browse through the pictures, they know immediately which shot belongs to which build. In the descriptions of each build, you can then add in the links to the appropriate CC, etc. And I don't know about everyone else, but I actually prefer the smaller lots. So a lot doesn't have to be all big and grand to get my vote!

;-) You know what they say about men who build big lots... Sorry, couldn't help myself. Categories would be great! If you ever need a play-tester, let me know.
