I've been spending way too much time on this stupid tomb to give up now!

I started building my first tomb just a few weeks ago and finally finished it yesterday. It's huge! Whenever I tried testing it out, everything flowed together okay (there was the occasional bug, which I fixed) exept for 1 thing that's making me want to rip my hair out and mail it to EA. Whenever the an switch is pulled, or a platform is stepped on there's nothing leading to what it just unlocked (you know how there are the gold dots that go across the room to the thing that just appeared/unlocked) it's just not there. I can't figure it out for the life of me and it's getting on my last nerve.

I've posted this up on all the sims  forum spots and absolutely no help! Can anyone please tell me how to fix this. It's getting to the point where I'm about to take the disc out and chuck it across the room.
