The Sommers Family –

Horatio Sommers tries to do well by his family, and he’s all business about it. He’s very frugal and pinches each penny earned to give them what they need. He’s hoping to advance up the corporate ladder and spends plenty of time with his nose in a book to accomplish this goal. However, Horatio is also very absent minded and it is hard to hide from his boss for long periods of time. Horatio likes fresh grilled salmon, indie music and the color of brown spices.

Mary (Day) Sommers was born to light up a room but was swept off her feet by the older charming Horatio. He was very much a gentleman, but the first kiss easily impressed her so much she fell head over heals in love. What Mary didn’t count on was for Horatio to whisk her off away from her posh lifestyle and get them stranded on a new island. Mary had a hard time fitting into their new life but her aversion to filth finally gave way and she started cooking, which she found she surprisingly quite enjoyed, and doing housework. Since she finally started to contribute to the running of the household, Horatio’s frugality would not spare the money for the hired help she was accustomed too, he allowed her to remain unemployed pursuing her natural talents and as an artist. She hopes one day to obtain a camera and see what she can do without a canvas and paints. Mary likes frog legs, indie music, and the color pink.

Edward Sommers loves his parents but they just don’t understand his need, or ability to play the guitar in his underwear. One day he dreams of being a rock star! When he’s not out on the front lawn entertaining anyone that passes by he likes to dig in the dirt out back and see what he can make grow. All in all he feels he’s pretty lucky in the family department even if his sister bugs him on occasion and he has to fix anything that breaks because his dad can’t. Edward likes salad direct from his garden, electronica music, and the color blue.

Annabelle fights tooth and nail with her mother over her mother’s desire to dress her in frills and pink. But she’s learned to pick her battles and finally won over the ability to wear shorts so she can rough house with the neighborhood boys and join in their adventures. After all they aren’t all that tough and she’s not scared of anything. Like her brother she feels pretty lucky in the family department, now if Edward would only let her learn to play his guitar! Annabelle likes stu surprise, latin music and the color green.
