Sorry if this topic has been answered before... I typed 'Mac' in the topic search box and nothing similar was on the first page.

As the question goes has anyone with a new MacBook used the special program to change the default picture- without any hitches I hope? I need somebody who knows Macs well to send me a precise set of instructions on how to install all the programs necessary so it works just as well as a PC.

Sorry, I do not know of any programs for a Mac. have you searched the SIMs forums (when they are working) for this?

sorry what i meant was does the same program you use to change your upload picture or extract PNG files whatever i don't know computers well work for the Mac too? Because a classmate at uni has been playing around with zip/winwar for years but when i said i just got a mac she then said oh sorry ''i don't know how to do it on macs''  i feel like tearing my hair out cos i'm not meant to be using this laptop for sims stuff anyway.

It has a program for Macs. I tried to use it with my MacBook Pro, however, and was told I didn't have an updated Java script. My computer tells me that my Java is up to date, so I finally gave up trying to install it. You might have better luck than I did.

I have a new Mac book pro, and I am using that programme (Postal) to change the cover pictures for my lots. It works very well for me. As said though, you need to have Java installed and updated. I guess you have allready Java on your Mac. Then it is just to follow the instructions from the earlier link.
