One of my Sims is stuck putting dishes in the dishwasher. I've tried the resetSim code several times and it hasn't helped as of yet. Its a child and she's been there for about 3 Sim days and is hungry, needs to use the bathroom and exhausted. I just had a pop up saying if she's not taken care of the social worker is going to come take all the kids! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it didn't work. When I held shift and clicked on the Sim the only options were changing the age, the traits or the favorite music. I tried to reset her again and again it didn't work so she's still stuck.

Have you tried "moveobjects on" to just move her or delete the dishwasher?  That's the only other thing I can think of if the "resetSim" didn't work.  Awe!  Poor kid and poor YOU.  Hope you can figure it out.  Good luck and lets us know what happens. 

I have had success with the reset code.  The catch is spelling the Sim name exactly.  Let's say your Sim is named Pat Jones.  I open the cheat menu and type the code as below but  without the arrow bits. 
-->  resetSim Pat Jones  <--

If you put in extra spaces or spell the name incorrectly it will not work.  You may want to try putting in the additional code:
--> testingCheatsEnabled true  <-- FIRST then try the resetSim code.

If you want to keep playing the game and can't figure out how to move her, you could just use testingcheatsenabled true, and pull up all her bars so she isn't hungry or tired anymore. This won't fix your stuck issue, but at least it should mean the social service worker won't take her away until you do fix it.

Thank you all for your suggestions! Unfortunately nothing has helped yet but I was able to pull up the bars, I guess I'll just continue to do this until I figure out a resolution. Any other ideas?

I didn't think bringing up their NEEDS was an option in TS3 since I can't "bring up" the NEEDS bars using the "testingcheats" code.  I've tried typing it with all lower case letters and then again with the upper case letters that EQ shows above and I didn't get an "Unknown command" msg either way.  The code works for "buydebug" but not for the NEEDS bars.  I thought all I had to do was click/drag each bar (like in TS2) but it ain't WORKIN'!  What am I missing? 

Cameo, all you need to do is put in testingcheatsenabled true, and no further commands. Then you can click and drag up the bars. You won't see the change if the game is paused - it has to be in live/play mode for the change to take effect.

Right!  Discovered that and thought, "huh?"  Thanks for confirming it, though.  I wan't really sure.  In TS2 it was revealed as you slid the bars.  OK!  Now I know what to expect.  THANKS HON!
