Builders' Boulevard

I've noticed that when I create a multi-story house and use shutters on the windows, the shutters on the first floor disappear from view when I go up a story. This makes taking pictures of the whole house problematical. Is there a game option I need to check or some other way to make sure the shutters on all the windows show when I have the roof up? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
